SHA is one of the innovations of Dr. Ramir B. Uytico, CESO III, Regional Director of DepEd Region VI. It is an academic endeavor for teachers who are potential school leaders. The scholars were selected based on criteria and those who passed were granted scholarship to study at Guimaras State University as the partner institution. They have completed the courses which focus on becoming a school leader with emphasis on the competencies of a school head as embodied in the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads (PPSSH) per DepEd Order No. 24, s. 2020.

The Scholars, with their REAP, are expected to apply what they have learned from the SHA program. They were given until February to finish the implementation of their project to qualify for the conduct of Regional Presentation of REAP Output and subsequent graduation from the Academy.

The panel of judges is composed of SDO Guimaras key personnel led by OIC-ASDS Dr. Ruby Therese P. Almencion. The advisers of the scholars, who are their immediate supervisors, were also present during the REAP defense.

SDO Guimaras congratulates the scholars as their REAP is a manifestation of their competence of becoming future school leaders who can transform lives, touch hearts, and teach minds of the learners through the efforts of their well-cared and motivated teachers. – Arniel G.
